Sacred to the memory of William, the son of Edward and Ann Creasser, who departed this life February 26th 1844, aged 16 years and 11 months. As the sun exhales the morning dew or the cold wind nips the floret sweet, so thy tender youth was smitten too and now lies withering at our feet but since to thee the Lord has given, celestial grace while here below. Thy gentle spirit now in heaven, has happier joys than mortals know. Also Ann the wife of Isaac Staveley, late of North Dalton and grandmother of the above, who departed this life ? November 1840 aged 87 years. Verse eroded.
