In memory of fifteen infant children, sons and daughters of John and Sarah Foster of this place, three of them whose names
are here inscribed. Ann Elizabeth Foster, died April 18th 1839, aged 6 months. Sarah Ellen Foster, died January 26th 1843,
aged 11 months. Richard Vickerman Foster, died April 23rd 1849, aged 9 months.
The cup of life to their lips he prest,
Found the taste bitter and declined the rest.
Then gently turning from the light of day,
They softly breathed their souls away.
